I4 Import is an interface function of the Innovative Interfaces ILS (Integrated Library System) software that allows libraries to transmit spine lettering information for serials to the library bindery.

Working in conjunction with the binding slip module, the software saves lettering data for each book to a file at the same time that it produces a printed binding slip. The check in record number for each serial title is printed on the binding slip and used by library bindery personnel to access the appropriate digital record file for each serial volume sent to the bindery.

Working from a digital file saves time in order processing at the library bindery and reduces production costs.

I4 Import is only available to III client campuses. To activate the software, contact your campus III liaison.
